A Day Bursting with Colour - Cinque Terre

One of the first things that came to my mind when I knew Italy was on the cards.. The Cinque Terre. After admiring many photos of these cute little villages, I was on track to ticking off another 'must see' that was high up on my list. Pastel Paradise on the cliffs of the Italian Riviera! We started off at the top with Monterosso and worked our way down to my personal favourite Manarola, stopping in at Vernazza on the way. Vernazza had the most going with many local shops and restaurants, but the view of Manarola is like no other. We used the train as our transportation which was perfect, only taking a few minutes to pass from one village to the next. This also showed off the villages from a far all lined up along the coast line. Wow! No wonder this place is a MUST SEE! To make the day even more special was the fact I got to spend it with one of my all time favourite people - my Nan!

Floating Around Florence

As my Nan fancied a trip to Tuscany this year, off we went. With my DianaF camera to capture the sights we were ready to go. Starting in the beautiful city of Florence, we spent the first day roaming the streets to take in all the picturesque sights the city had to offer. What we found… LEATHER! So much leather everywhere, from market stalls to high end shops this city was just full of Leather. With me being such a big fan of view points I always do my research on the best places to get a view of the city from above. Two in particular stood out to me, first of which was the Piazzale Michelangelo where we sat and watched the sun go down on our first evening. Secondly the Campanile, 414 steps up and situated right besides the Duomo this gave more of a close up view of the city and its many red rooftops. This we saved for the second day so we had more energy for all those steps. Another Florence sight that amazed me had to be the Ponte Vecchio, I mean a bridge full of jewellers, WOW! On a whole we most definitely enjoyed what Florence had to offer.

Day 2.  Wearing my beloved Wildfox twiggy sunglasses that just seem to finish off all my outfits perfectly. Lilac checked smock dress found on asos.com and mustard yellow shoes from Urban Outfitters.
